On September 28th 2006, Canon revleaved at Photokina the Canon M30 and M80 portable digital devices for photographers.
Today, just two weeks after the press release, it seems that those products will not hit the US market, at least not in the near future.
Elan Remford, a DPReview fellow user, was becoming axious about the realse date of the Canon M30 and M80 and contacted Canon US sales department regarding this issue.

Canon USA does not have any immediate plans to introduce the M30/M80 storage devices to the U.S. market, though we are evaluating consumer demand for these types of media storage devices.
