Adobe Lightroom

This post is a guest post by Rami Fayoumi from ZeroHourSleep

Like everyone who reads ADIDAP I am into photography and I use Adobe Lightroom to edit my pictures. I was so excited when I first started working with Adobe Lightoom until I started experiencing regular crashes while using it. And when it crashes, it crashes really hard ! My CPU usage goes up to 50% even after I kill Lightroom’s process, so I end up forced to either logoff or restart my computer.
BUT, I have discovered lately what has been causing these crashes.

nView Desktop Manager! YES, that was it!

Fix Adobe Photoshop CS3 startup problem

February 18th, 2007 by Antoine Khater

I have been using the beta version of Adobe Photoshop CS3 for a month or so without any serious problem, but then all of a sudden the application refused to start.

Every time I click on the Adobe Photoshop CS3 icon, the splash scree doesn’t even appear. I just get a gray screen for 2 seconds, and then nothing. I’ve been struggling with this for a couple of days but I have just found the solutions.

Who will kill adobe photoshop

September 30th, 2006 by Antoine Khater

Adobe Photoshop has been for very long the undisputed master in the photo retouching world. In a recent survey conducted early this year by Novel, adobe photoshop was found to be the most demanded application not available on linux platform.

This lack of availability has pushed many linux defenders to work and develop very ambitious photo processing applications.

GIMP v/s Adobe Photoshop

August 27th, 2006 by Antoine Khater

Haven’t work myself in GIMP myself, but as far as I know GIMP is an open source Image editing software and there is quite a few people using it today instead of the famous Adobe Photoshop primary because it is free.

Although originaly built for Linux, GIMP can also run on both Windows and MAC…

Today I came across a quite interesting article by “The Linux Advocate” stating what is still missing for GIMP to be able to “dethrone” Adobe Photoshop
