Photographer of the week : Thomas Leuthard

Our photographer of the week is Thomas Leuthard – a street photographer based in Switzerland.

Thomas told us the following about his passion for photography :

” I’m traveling around the World with my camera to document life in public. I like to meet people around the globe to talk about street photography and to shoot together. I also like to share my knowledge through different channels on the Internet. I have just published a first eBook about street photography. You can download it for free here: http://book.85mm.c I’m working already on a second book which will be publish in early September. It’s not the money which drives me, but the passion to a way of photography which changed my life. ”

Photographer of the week : Michael Shaw

Our photographer of the week is Michael Shaw from North West of England – UK.
Michael told us the following about his relationship with photography :

“I have been a frustrated artist, frustrated with my lack of patience. I picked up a camera at the back of 2006 to see if I could do something about it and was hooked from that day on.
Photography has become my passion. Since that time I have spent most of my free time learning how to use both the camera and the post editing techniques.
I look at the world as if I am looking through a viewfinder, everything is framed and my camera is never too far way. I enjoy both the serenity of the landscape and the hustle and bustle of the urban, I am at ease in both locations and find so much beauty in all I can see.”

Photographer of the Week : Michael Perlov

Michael Perlov is a young photographer from Russia dreaming of visiting each and every country to see all the beauties and disasters of the world. Gladly he is sharing his experience with us through his lenses.

I leave you to enjoy only 10 of his selected works. For a full dose of photography, you can visit his photostream

Photographer of the week : Katarina Stefanović

Our Photographer for this week is Katarina Stefanović whose goal is to use photography as ‘prima materia’, a base, and through editing create a fusion of reality and vision.

According to Katarina : ” I am not a photo reporter, so I don’t feel obligated to honour every detail. What I’m trying to achieve is to emphasize the whole potential of a shot, creating a sight that I’d like if existed.. And since it’s impossible in real life, I do it in virtual :) My work is maybe more similar to ‘photo-painting’ than photography.”

Photographer of the week : Vitaly Geyman

After our call for Photographer of the week submissions, we received many great entries and we are glad to feature Vitaly Geyman for this week.

His photography comes from a multidisciplinary perspective. It conveys his intimate connection with nature and the power of its beauty. Vitaly’s soulful, dreamlike fine art photography has also been greatly influenced by the work of John Wimberley, a well known photographer who has a great collection of B&W photography, with over 50 exhibitions.

Enjoy 10 of his selected pictures and don’t forget to visit his website for more of his work.
